When i got off i was bawling and went to security and argued with them. this coaster has multple inversions and loops all over water and concrete. i too was only held in by the crotch strap and my ex bf trying to hold the bars down. I then put my arms back and went on the ride as normal, except with my brother shit scared and holding on to me.Ī very similar thing happened to me on Ednör in La Ronde (Montreal, Quebec) except for me they never pushed the bar down to click in place, My ex and I were yelling at the attendents in french and english to get their attention but they started the ride anyways. Stuck both my arms through it and turned to my brother saying "Hey I can fit right through this!". I remember sitting in the seat and realising the harness was too big for me. I'm still not sure if the best or worst part is that my brother went to the gift shop and bought me an "I survived the Colossus" medal.Įdit: No, it didn't stop me going on more rides, I always think what's the chances of it happening again?.īonus Edit: I was a skinny kid, when we went to America and went on the Universal ride Dr Doom (the one that shoots you up vertically at speed). My mum went ballistic at the staff but can't remember what happened.

My sister was sitting next to me and was freaking out more than I was, she had her arm across my chest whilst some random dude behind me had figure out what was going on and was holding both my arms from behind.ġ0 loops later, my sister is sobbing, I'm numb from fear/shock and got lead to a bench and given a bar of chocolate. On the first part going up I hear click and the harness swings up.Īll I had was this tiny seat belt that buckles over your crotch, I remember just saying "fuck" and holding on to the metal bars on either side of me. Then the ride started and I didn't get a chance to get out. Three times we told them that the harness kept unlocking, three times they clicked it back in and said I was good to go. I went around that without the harness/safety bar on my 13th birthday. There's a ride at Thorpe Park (UK) called the Colossus, it's a ten loop rollercoaster.
